Through its experience, this young group supported and developed a global proposal in order to offer all innovative products presented in this catalogue marked by a small symbol in different colours in order to identify their origin and by logos indicating the relevant certifications and homologation received or used as reference. Some products by Rack System ® are marked with the danger label in compliance with the Italian law 626 on “occupational safety”. These items may present some hazards such as sharp edges and dangerous ledges. |

Identifying Rack System ® products:
How easy!
Identifying products according to a unique and universal system is for Rack System® a fundamental instrument to increase the efficiency of its production – distribution – use cycle.
In order to ensure a unique system of identification at global level, Rack System ® demanded and obtained INDICOD (Italian EAN coding authority) EAN-13 manufacturers code. EAN International gave us, together with the INDICOM Code COUNCIL, some prefixes to define the technical specifications at an international level. These numbers are presented as bar symbols and are to be read electronically in order to enable easy recognition of the product information, from manufacturing in the company’s facilities to end consumers. Such an organisation allows us to improve the delivery services making control operation easier for all clients using this system. The bar code EAN/UCC-13 is made by 13 digits and allows to identify product, country of origin, the manufacturing company and notes on the product.
The first two digits of the bar code represent the country of origin, the following seven digits identify the manufacturing code. The last four digits, to simplify communication, identify the product code,
It will then suffice to indicate the last four digit while passing the order.

How relevant are transport
and storage costs?
Rack System ® considered dimension problems related to storing goods in warehouses and the high costs for transport.
The range of modular system ® cabinets in all PK versions can be supplied in kit, thus reducing of more than 60% the size of the package and transport costs.
The mounting of the boxes is easy and intuitive. However all products contain in their packaging the complete set of documents concerning instructions for use, technical tables and exploded drawings.
Products contained in paper boxes are protected, therefore damages caused by transport can be avoided. All products not available in kit have been designed to be piled and overlapped in order to reduce dimensions and transport costs.
